Direct Transfer vs. Manual Rekeying of Data -- a matter of equity value

Given:

Medisoft and medical practice management computer systems are known as vertical applications. 

Powerful network ready workstations start at less than $600.00.  Windows 95, 98 or 2000 come installed on all workstations.  Each of these operating systems is capable of networking thirty or more inexpensive, high power workstations.  Upgrades to client/server versions of Medisoft start at about $1,500.00 (which optionally could include Win NT, Win 2000 Pro, or Novell).  All Medisoft versions have an "all EMC" paperless office option built in. This means all medical insurance claims can usually be electronically filed for free.
